T- NAPIER 7 Series Turbochargers Features:

T- NHP357 turbo compressor wheel (also called turbocharger compressor impeller) belongs to T- Napier 7 series turbochargers, which was developed in 1998 and it highly regarded by two key features that: outstanding performance design and minimum cost to end-user.

  • For engine power output range from 1 to 7.5 MW per turbocharger;
  • Wide compressor map allowing peak efficiency operation up to 84%;
  • Adopting the latest water-wasing techniques for ultimate flexibility, such as heavy fuel oil (HFO) optimization;
  • Semi-floating design of journal bearing, operation more reliable with low wear and tear;
  • Without leakage at very low engine loads due to its innovative shaft sealing adoption;
  • Suitable for a wide variety of fuels, heavy fuel oil (HFO), diesel oil, fuel and gas operation;

T- NHP357 / T- NA357 turbo compressor wheel (turbocharger compressor impeller) description:

The compressor impeller is of aluminium alloy or the more expensive titanium. Manufactured from a single casting it is located on the rotor shaft by splines. Aluminium impellers have a limited life, due to creep, which is dictated by the final air temperature. Often the temperature of air leaving the impeller can be as high as 200°C. The life of the impeller under these circumstances may be limited to about 70000 hours.

However, T- 7 Series Compressor does not compromise performance and durability although it's made of aluminium alloy due to its achieved utilising Finite Element Analysis (FEA), so as to ensure compressor wheel gives optimum performance and minimum wear even under great stress.
